AI assistant for tracking, cooking, and wasting less

EatMeFirst (摆烂冰箱) is an AI-powered fridge management app that helps people track food, reduce waste, and make everyday cooking decisions more easily.
The idea came from my own everyday struggle of forgetting what was in the fridge and letting food go to waste. The app allows users to log groceries by scanning receipts, taking photos, or manual input. AI then identifies items, estimates expiration dates, organizes them by storage type, and highlights foods that are expiring soon. Based on what’s in the fridge—especially items nearing expiration—it generates personalized recipes that adapt to users’ taste preferences.
Co-created with an iOS engineer, EatMeFirst was built from 0–1 and launched both Chinese and English versions on the App Store. The app has over 5k+ downloads, ranked #2 on the App Store New Apps chart, and continues to evolve through fast, user-driven iteration through TestFlight and an active user community.
